Now, this is a question I get from authors across the board. How do I sell more books? They are not sure about how the book selling aspect of their book marketing and promotion campaign actually works. There are lots opinions, that’s for sure, but authors really want to know what works best.<\/p>\n

Book marketing tip: Reach out and impress someone.<\/h3>\n

The more your target market is exposed to your thinking, your concepts and conversation, the more they will realize your book can bring more meaning and value into their lives. What happens next? A book sale. No problem. I have seen it happen over and over. Our clients get booked on radio shows where they get a chance to get up close and personal with thousands of listeners. They are showcasing their talent in the show. For those listeners who resonate with the message their next click to Amazon to get the book. Bingo. A sale!<\/p>\n

Book marketing tip: You have to go to your target market.<\/h3>\n

Constantly reach out to your market place, consistently over time. As long as time is going to pass anyway, you might as well have it working for you. Enjoy connecting with others. Do everything you can to reach out and touch your market.<\/p>\n

  1. Having a reputation of excellence<\/li>\n
  2. Contributor to society in meaningful ways<\/li>\n
  3. Contributor to society as a media guest, analyst or contributor<\/li>\n
  4. Getting booked as a guest on TV shows, radio shows, in print and online<\/li>\n
  5. Building a large community of people who respect your work over time.<\/li>\n
  6. Lots of outreach through lots of media including social media<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The ‘how do I sell books” challenge is a common one. Many authors struggle with this and usually give up on book sales AFTER they spend a lot of money trying to get them.<\/p>\n

    Book marketing for authors with a message<\/h3>\n

    At our PR firm, we find that author’s having a bigger mission for the message in their book brings a sense of pride, fulfilment and contribution to the author. Authors wind up liking this deliverable when they realize that lots of book sales are just not in the cards – and this is more common than the alternative. \u00a0It’s usually at this time when author come to us.
