Mystery & Romance in Chicago circa 1930

Featuring Michelle Cox

Today we’re talking with Michelle Cox, author of the Henrietta and Inspector Howard series, a mystery/ romance series set in Chicago in the 1930s which has been coined as “Downton Abbey meets Upstairs, Downstairs with a little mystery thrown in.”

At times romantic and humorous, the series also touches on some of the darker things happening during the era of the Great Depression, such as wealth disparity, organized crime and limited opportunities based on both gender and education. The series is published by She Writes Press, an all-women’s hybrid press located in Berkley, California.
