Not a day goes by when an author does not call to tell me the story of how they got ripped off by their old PR firm, their words not mine, by someone who sold them a PR contract that was not right for them.
Our firm would never do something like this. If we were not right for the client’s goals, we would encourage them to continue their search for the right match. Back to the story, needless to say, these authors tell me they lost all of their marketing dollars by working with a firm that “tried”.
Here at #AnnieJenningsPR we have one rule – never use the word TRY. We are only “go out to the media with intent on getting a booking”. We perfect our approach to the exact media that is right for the client.
These disappointed authors say they did not get a chance to help anyone – from changing lives to saving them. So, from what I hear, some other PR firms have certainly done a number on honest, hardworking experts and publicity firms like mine and now nobody trusts anyone.
