After 26 years experience as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force, and retiring as a Colonel with numerous medals and awards, what prompted you to contact Annie Jennings PR for publicity?

How have the people you’ve met as a result of Annie’s publicity helped you?

I have met many people who are prominent in the news –  former ambassadors, former high level officials. Sometimes current ambassadors, members of congress, senators, former governors, former cabinet secretaries, CEO’s of companies. All of these have been in contact with the media at the same time I have been in contact with the media or have reached out to me as a result of appearances. Media proves your versatility and conveys a sense of getting things done and I think that is what makes media campaigns like this very attractive from a business prospective, especially a consulting business prospective.

How has all of this publicity media exposure impacted your consulting business?

In the consultancy world, it’s very important to have a reputation and your reputation is enhanced by media presence. Many media organizations do independent vetting of their guests and then decide if they will put you on the air. Once you are chosen and have good interviews, you are imparting information, conveying a message and expressing your knowledge. If people want to use that knowledge further then they have a way of contacting you through the website and hiring you for projects they are working on.

As a result I have been able to work with governments both foreign and domestic. I have been able to work with private industry both on the technical side, in terms of service providers for certain technical solutions in the cyber security markets, but also with people who are buying solutions.  If you have an enhanced reputation because of media presence it makes a huge difference and that’s what I have been able to leverage to great effect.

In fact, I’ve spoken at not only several domestic conferences but also international conferences, gave a keynote panel discussion on the future of the world with distinguished guests including former ambassador from Pakistan to the U.S. That level of interaction with very influential people was only enhanced by the way that I was able to use the effective media strategy that Annie Jennings has provided.
